A video showing a campaign package distributed during an All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign in Ekiti State has sparked widespread reactions on social media.
In the viral clip, a man displayed the contents of a nylon bag he said was received during the campaign.
The package contained about four packs of noodles and a sachet of tomato paste.
The video also showed a campaign sticker attached to the bag. The sticker carried the inscription: “Vote BOA” and “Till 2030, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.”
Social media users react
Following the video’s circulation online, many users took to the comment section to express differing opinions about the package and its perceived significance.
One user, Ogechi Peters, wrote: “Don’t bother showing us, just go make de noodle chop. Noodles actually good for your body.”
Another user, identified as Nes, commented: “Apc and Yoruba people are our problem in this country. These fools can sell the country in exchange for 1kg of Semovita.”
Reacting to the criticism directed at the man who shared the video, Oladimeji wrote: “I don’t understand why some people are insulting the person that made this video to expose the atrocities and the evil that APC are doing to our people to buy them and their vote.”
Graceful also weighed in, saying: “Ona no wan learn… Imagine this. No sell your vote you say No. See now. Your vote is worth 4 small indomie and 2 sachet of tomatoes.”
