Tinubu polls 131,096 votes in Edo APC presidential primary 

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recorded a landslide victory in the APC Presidential Primary Election held across the 192 wards in Edo State, polling a total of 131,096 votes, while his challenger, Stanley Osifo, secured just one vote.

Edo State Governor and Returning Officer for the election, Senator Monday Okpebholo, described the exercise as peaceful and transparent.

He noted that the results reflected the overwhelming support for President Tinubu across the state.

Oredo – 9,177

Ikpoba-Okha – 13,147

Egor – 10,074

Orhionmwon – 6,858

Ovia South West – 10,044

Ovia North East – 7,983

Total: 63,442 votes

Edo North Senatorial District:

Etsako Central – 4,564

Etsako East – 7,123

Owan East – 5,492

Owan West – 4,139

Akoko-Edo – 7,464

Etsako West – 11,497

Total: 40,279 votes

Edo Central Senatorial District:

Esan South East – 5,441

Esan North East – 4,111

Igueben – 5,467

Esan West – 6,820

Esan Central – 5,536

Total: 27,375 votes

Governor Okpebholo stated that the successful conduct of the primary across the 18 local government areas further demonstrates the APC’s strength and growing support base ahead of the 2027 general election.
