Nkatha shares message from Irish government
Nkatha is proud to be an Irish citizen, five years after relocating to Ireland, as she begins a new chapter in her life abroad.
“Today I am officially an Irish citizen. I am so grateful and proud of myself for this new chapter in my life. It is by the grace of God. I am so proud to have received my dual citizenship, and Ireland is now my second home,” she happily wrote.

She shared a screenshot from the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration confirming that she had been granted Irish citizenship during a citizenship ceremony.
Nkatha also posted photos with her husband as they celebrated the milestone together, expressing their joy and excitement.
When did Nkatha move to Ireland?
She moved to Ireland after marrying her husband and admitted that adapting to life in a new country was not easy due to various challenges.
Nkatha struggled with the weather, food, and environment during her first few months in Ireland but remained optimistic throughout the transition.
She said she initially found it difficult to access Kenyan food and understand the Irish accent, but she embraced the challenge as part of her new life.
Speaking to NGBREAKINGNEWS, Nkatha said she persevered, built a career supporting people with intellectual disabilities, and was even able to help her younger sister complete nursing school.

“I come from a very poor family, but since moving to Ireland, I have been able to take my sister through nursing school. She completed college and is now a nurse. I am grateful to God for this new chapter in my life,” Nkatha said.

She also shared that her journey has had a lasting impact on her family back home since she left Kenya in 2021.
Coming from a humble background, she has been able to support her younger sister through nursing school, and the young woman has since graduated and joined the profession.
