Nollywood actress Omeche Oko has survived a serious motorbike accident on a movie set, just three days before her birthday.
The incident occurred during a shoot in Lagos, where Oko was filming a scene on a motorcycle with fellow actor Victory Michael, who was riding the bike.
The motorcycle ran into a pole at the filming location, leaving both actors injured. Victory Michael suffered a chest impact from the collision and briefly lost consciousness, while Oko sustained a broken leg.
Crew members and colleagues on set quickly intervened and rushed both actors to an undisclosed medical facility for treatment.
Sharing footage of the incident on her social media page, Oko reflected on the gravity of the moment, describing life as extremely fragile and expressing gratitude for surviving what could have been a fatal outcome.
She also called on the public to appreciate actors, noting the physical risks they routinely take in pursuit of their craft.
Her post drew an outpouring of support from colleagues in the industry, including Mofe Duncan, Chinenye Nnebe, Alichi Chizzy Mbah, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Nosa Rex, Chidi Dike, Toniala Aladese, Doris Ifeka, and Onyi Alex, as well as producers Uche Nancy and Toyosi Etim Effiong, all of whom flooded the comments section with warm wishes for her recovery.
