Linet was admitted to Poplar Hospital in Ngara after her health deteriorated due to longstanding hypothyroidism, acute anaemia, pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary oedema.
Linet’s sister, Diana Nasiche, told NGBREAKINGNEWS that her condition became critical, forcing doctors to admit her to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where she spent a week receiving specialised treatment.

According to her family, the medical emergency came at a time when they were desperately searching for an alternative public hospital that could offer the level of care she required.

However, no High Dependency Unit (HDU) bed was available, leaving them with little choice but to continue treatment at the private facility.
“The situation was urgent and life-threatening. We had to make difficult decisions quickly to save her life,” a family member said.
The prolonged admission and intensive treatment saw Linet’s hospital bill rise sharply, eventually reaching KSh 800,000.
Since then, family members, friends and well-wishers have rallied around her, contributing funds and offering prayers in a show of solidarity.
Their efforts have helped reduce the amount owed, but a balance of KSh 690,000 remains.
Despite the financial burden, there is renewed hope. Linet’s family says her condition has improved significantly, and doctors are satisfied with her recovery progress.
However, she remains in the hospital because the outstanding bill must be settled before she can be discharged and continue recuperating at home.

For the family, the prospect of taking Linet back home represents a major milestone after weeks of uncertainty and anxiety.
They are now appealing to the public for support, saying that every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference.

They are also welcoming pledges from individuals who may wish to contribute at a later date.
“We are deeply grateful for everyone who has stood with us through prayers, encouragement and financial support. We humbly ask for continued assistance to help us clear the remaining balance and bring Linet home,” the family said.
As they continue their fundraising efforts, the family is also urging people to share their appeal widely in hopes of reaching more potential donors.
For Linet and her loved ones, every donation brings them one step closer to closing a difficult chapter and beginning the next stage of her recovery surrounded by family and the comfort of home.
