Like many who pass through Nakuru Central Business District, residents have grown familiar with the young boy often seen navigating the busy streets, surviving one day at a time.
Singer Bunny Asila, who saved the struggling teen, told NGBREAKINGNEWS that the youngster’s dream was simple: to leave the streets behind, start a small business and build a better future for himself.
Behind his difficult circumstances lies a story of loss, hardship and determination, as Lewis says his life changed dramatically after the death of his father in 2017.

With his mother unemployed and the family struggling to make ends meet, he eventually found himself on the streets in search of a way to survive.
The challenges only deepened during the COVID-19 pandemic, a period he says marked the beginning of his long struggle with street life.
Despite the hardships, Lewis has not given up on his dreams.
The teenager says his greatest wish is to get off the streets permanently and establish a mobile grocery business that would allow him to earn an honest living and support himself.
Bunny describes Lewis as a young man with immense potential whose life has been defined more by a lack of opportunities than a lack of ambition.
Rather than simply highlighting his circumstances, he pledged to take a more active role in helping the teenager rebuild his life.
The philanthropist expressed a desire to walk alongside Lewis on a journey that would see him leave the streets, overcome substance abuse and eventually return to school.
According to Bunny, the mission goes beyond charity. It is about restoring hope to a young person who has spent years feeling forgotten.

“This is my prayer for Lewis,” Bunny said, explaining that he hopes to help create a pathway towards a more stable and productive future.
Bunny noted that people do not choose the circumstances they are born into or the challenges that life places before them.
What often makes the difference, he said, is having someone willing to believe in them when they cannot see a way forward themselves.

For Lewis, that belief may prove life-changing. The teenager’s dream of running a mobile grocery business may seem modest, but it represents something much bigger: independence, dignity and a chance to rewrite the story of his life.
As support begins to gather around him, many are hopeful that the young man who has spent years surviving on the streets will finally be given the opportunity he has long been searching for.
Sometimes, all it takes to change a life is one person willing to stop, listen and believe. For Lewis Nyagah, that moment may have finally arrived.
