Nigerian Air Force Destroys Terrorist Hideouts in Lake Chad Airstrikes

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reportedly eliminated several terrorists and destroyed their hideouts during a series of precision airstrikes in the Lake Chad region.

In a statement issued on Thursday, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said the operation was carried out by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai.

According to him, the strikes were conducted in the early hours of June 10, 2026, following credible intelligence and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions that confirmed the presence of a senior terrorist commander, terrorist enclaves, and increased terrorist activities in the area.

The operation, he said, targeted key terrorist positions and dealt a significant blow to their operational capabilities.
