Nigerian Army Rescues 23 Kidnap Victims in Kogi After Armed Men Block Highway And Attack Commuters

Troops of the Nigerian Army have rescued 23 passengers who were abd¥cted by suspected kidnappers along the Ayegunle–Bunu Road in Kabob-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, according to military analyst Deji Adesogan.

Security sources said the incident happened around 3:30 a.m. on Monday when armed attackers blocked the highway and opened fire on passing vehicles. Several commuters were seized during the a§§ault.

Troops of the 12 Brigade in Kabba were later mobilised after a distress call and moved quickly to the location. However, by the time they arrived, the attackers had already fled the scene, Adesogan noted....... .
