A deeply distressing incident in Nakuru has left a transport investor counting heavy losses after a lorry was reportedly carjacked and stolen, with the driver found abandoned and tied up in Baruk.

According to reports shared by Sikika Road Safety, the driver was allegedly hijacked by unknown individuals who seized control of the vehicle in Nakuru.
He was later found in a traumatising state after being tied on his hands, legs and mouth, before being dumped in Baruk.

The stolen lorry has not yet been recovered, and the incident has caused significant financial and emotional pain to the owner, who is struggling to come to terms with the loss.

The driver is said to have survived the ordeal but remains shaken following the attack.
In an emotional appeal, Sikika Road Safety called on Kenyans to come together in solidarity, urging members of the public to share information widely in the hope of tracing the vehicle and those responsible.
“Very sad and painful evening,” the message read in part, appealing for assistance and cooperation from the public.
