A Nigerian woman has become the subject of online discussions after openly sharing that marriage and motherhood have never been among her life goals.
In a video making rounds on social media, the 46-year-old Yoruba woman stated that she has never been married, engaged, or had children, adding that she has never been interested in wedding ceremonies or related traditions.
According to her:
“I’m a 46 years old Nigerian Yoruba woman and I’ve never been married, I’ve never been engaged, never looked at wedding pictures or dresses, I don’t have any children too. None of these things have never been a priority for me, I’m not interested in any of them.”
The statement quickly attracted attention online, with social media users sharing varying opinions about her choice and the decision to make the declaration publicly.
While some commenters argued that individuals should be free to choose their preferred lifestyle without societal pressure, others suggested that the video appeared to be an attempt to justify personal decisions.
