Przemyslaw Wisniewski’s last-gasp equalizer ensured that Poland forced Nigeria to a 2-2 draw in an international friendly match in Warsaw on Wednesday night.
Eric Chelle named a start lineup that had Okoye in goal, debutant Abdullahi Bewene, Igoh , Emmanuel Fernandez, Bruno Onyemaechi in defence, Wilfred Ndidi, Tochukwu Nnadi, Frank Onyeka in midfield and Akor Adams, Moffi and Moses Simon in attack.
The Super Eagles were on the verge of making it back-to-back wins against Poland, thanks to goals from Moffi and substitute Paul Onuachu.
But with just few seconds remaining in the game Wisniewski volleyed home a long range shot which flew past Maduka Okoye to force the draw.
Poland drew level in the first minute of first half through Kaylee Potulski who slotted home from close range after the Eagles failed to deal with a corner.
Up next for the Super Eagles is a second friendly clash with 2026 World Cup-bound Portugal on Wednesday, June 10.
