Police recover Kane, Bellingham boots after England camp theft

Police have recovered boots belonging to England stars Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, along with other stolen team equipment, after a theft at the national team’s World Cup base camp in Kansas City.

The equipment went missing after England’s arrival in Missouri from a training camp in West Palm Beach, Florida, where the squad had spent 10 days preparing for the tournament.

While the players and coaching staff travelled by air, the team’s equipment was transported by truck from Florida to Kansas City.

Upon arrival at the base camp, England staff discovered that several boxes were missing and immediately alerted the police.

Kansas City police responded to the scene with six patrol cars and launched an investigation into the theft.

According to police, the operation led to the arrest of two individuals and the recovery of most of the stolen items before the England squad arrived at the facility.

Among the recovered items were boots belonging to several players, including Kane and Bellingham, as well as footballs, kits and training tops used during the team’s pre-tournament camp in Florida.

Despite the security scare, England’s preparations for the World Cup remain on track.

England have established their base camp in Kansas City for the duration of the World Cup despite not playing any of their group-stage matches in the city.

The team will stay in a residential hotel near the homes of several players from the city’s American football franchise, while training sessions will be held at the facilities of Sporting Kansas City.

England’s first match of the tournament is scheduled for June 17 in Dallas before further group-stage fixtures in Boston and New York.

The Football Association (FA) had yet to comment publicly on the incident at the time of this report.
