The victims were kidnapped on Tuesday, June 3, 2026, at about 7:30 a.m. Security sources say the abduction happened while the mother was on her way to drop the twins at school. The incident sparked widespread concern due to the high profile of the family involved and rising cases of kidnapping across the country.
According to police sources, the rescue followed sustained intelligence tracking and tactical pressure on the kidnappers. The operation led to a fierce exchange of gunfire between security operatives and the criminal gang. During the confrontation, police neutralized two suspected kidnappers at the scene.
Two firearms were recovered from the gang during the operation. All three victims were freed alive without ransom payment and have since been reunited with their family. Their release has brought relief to relatives, friends, and members of the public who had been following the case closely since the abduction.
Authorities say security operatives are still combing nearby forests and communities in search of fleeing members of the syndicate. Police believe some suspects escaped with gunshot injuries sustained during the shootout. Efforts are ongoing to track down the remaining gang members and dismantle the network behind the abduction.
