Real Madrid have officially announced the signing of Spanish left-back Marc Cucurella from Chelsea for a reported fee of €55 million ($63.8 million).
The 27-year-old defender, who is currently away on international duty with Spain at the World Cup, has committed to a six-year contract keeping him at the Santiago Bernabéu until June 2032.
The transfer marks the first major player acquisition for newly re-appointed manager Jose Mourinho as president Florentino Perez looks to overhaul the squad following a second consecutive trophy-less season.
