SEDC Briefs Senate Committee on Progress of South East Infrastructure, Development Projects

The South East Development Commission (SEDC), led by its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mark C. Okoye II, has presented updates on its ongoing programmes, strategic partnerships, and key regional development initiatives during an interactive oversight session with the Senate Committee on South East Development Commission.

The session provided an opportunity for the commission to brief lawmakers on progress made in implementing its mandate to drive economic growth and infrastructure development across the South East region.

According to the commission, discussions focused on preparatory work for major regionwide infrastructure projects, including gas development initiatives, rail transportation projects, and other high-impact pilot programmes designed to stimulate economic activities and improve the quality of life for residents.
