LAGOS, NIGERIA – In a case that has shocked the nation, the Lagos State Police Command has arrested 32-year-old Iweka Chigoziem Nnamdi for allegedly running a sophisticated “sex-for-job” blackmail ring. The suspect reportedly posed as prominent Nigerians on social media to lure female job seekers, filmed sexual encounters with a hidden camera, and then extorted money by threatening to post the videos online.
According to police reports, the scheme unraveled after Nnamdi allegedly posted a sex video on the Facebook timeline of one of his victims, a 27-year-old banker identified simply as “Judith.” Approximately 325 of her Facebook friends viewed the footage, which ended her five-year relationship and severely affected her health. watch video

The suspect, a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, created fake Facebook and email accounts impersonating business mogul Mike Adenuga, Secretary to the Government of the Federation Anyim Pius Anyim, and Ghanaian actor Van Vicker, among others . He used these personas to post fake job and contract advertisements.
After collecting applications, Nnamdi would invite only female candidates to hotels in the Ajah area for purported interviews. He would introduce himself as a personal assistant to the prominent figure” and demand sex in exchange for facilitating the application .
Investigations revealed that hidden cameras were activated once the suspect switched on ceiling fans in the hotel rooms, recording all sexual activities. The footage was then used to blackmail victims, with Nnamdi demanding money to prevent publication of the videos . Police have estimated that at least 12 married women were blackmailed using this method .
The emotional devastation was evident in statements from victims and their families. One married victim, simply identified as Mrs. Abubakar, refused police requests to testify, stating: “I do not care if he has been arrested, killed or alive because the harm has already been done. Can you imagine that scoundrel sent a video of me and him on bed to my husband? Today, I have been sent out of my matrimonial home. Of what use is my coming to testify? Will that restore my marriage?
Another victim, Judith, was reported to have been rushed to the hospital after suffering from severe distress. A close friend noted she was now a shadow of herself and had lost weight drastically.
Police spokesperson Ngozi Braide confirme The suspect was arrested on April 21 in a hotel at Ajah after police used Judith as a bait, asking her to arrange another meeting .
Officers recovered laptops, BlackBerry phones, and a Techno phone containing explicit videos and pictures of multiple women from Nnamdi’s residence at Ikota Villa Estate, Ajah. The suspect reportedly made a confessional statement acknowledging his crimes .
Nnamdi was arraigned at the Tinubu Magistrate’s Court in Lagos on an eight-count charge including impersonation, extortion, threat to life, breach of peace, and unlawful carnal knowledge . He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail of N200,000 with two sureties .
A police source noted the suspect was as cool as cucumber after his arrest, smiling like he had not committed any crime.
The case has been adjourned, and police continue to urge women to exercise caution when responding to unsolicited job offers on social media .
