Stay and Solve Problems, Don’t Abandon Ship – Tinubu to Nigerian Youths

President Bola Tinubu has appealed to young Nigerians to remain in the country and play an active role in its development instead of relocating abroad in search of better opportunities.

Speaking to the nation’s youth, the President stressed that Nigeria’s future depends on the commitment and contributions of its young population.

He said:

“To our young people, Nigeria is your home and feature.

Build here, work here and develop here no need to Japa.

Every great nation was built by those who stayed to solve problems but not by those who abandon ship.”

Tinubu’s remarks come at a time when the “Japa” trend continues to gain momentum among many young Nigerians seeking education, employment, and improved living conditions abroad.

The President’s message focused on encouraging young people to invest their talents, skills, and energy in Nigeria’s growth, while emphasizing the role of citizens in building strong and prosperous nations.

In other news… Fresh controversy has emerged following a warning allegedly issued by an Arewa youth leader to social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, over the ongoing anti-insecurity protests.

Nigerian Catholic priest

The youth leader reportedly cautioned VeryDarkMan against staging or supporting any protest with the slogan “Tinubu Must Go” in Abuja or any northern state, urging him instead to take such demonstrations to Edo State before returning to the Federal Capital Territory.

The remarks come amid growing conversations surrounding insecurity, kidnappings, and attacks across different parts of the country, issues that VeryDarkMan has recently highlighted during public demonstrations in Abuja.

The warning quickly triggered reactions online, with many social media users questioning the authority of the speaker and defending the right of Nigerians to protest peacefully anywhere within the country.
