A young Nigerian man has opened up about the aftermath of informing his family about his newly secured job and monthly pay.
In a post on his X handle, @Themrbachelor, the man shared that his mother called him before he received his first salary.
Man Cries Out
During their conversation, his mother congratulated him on the milestone and informed him about his younger brother’s school expenses, which totaled N30,000.
”My mom called to congratulate me, ending the call with: “Your brother needs ₦30,000 for textbooks, and I told him not to worry, that his big brother now works in a big company“, He stated, recounting the phone conversation ended.
Arrival Of First Salary
Upon the arrival of his first salary, 70 percent was budgeted for household expenses, while he spent the entire month eating low-budget meals and trekking to minimize spending.
However, he reached out to his mother to inform her about his financial situation, which made her burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, he sat in his room staring at his empty pot, wondering how he became a millionaire in his family’s assumption.
