Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has reacted to reports surrounding the arrest of an individual allegedly linked to an AI-generated voice recording attributed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a video shared online, VDM criticized presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, claiming that he had previously been falsely accused of being involved in the circulation of the alleged AI-generated audio.
According to VDM, information he came across suggested that another individual, identified as Ifechukwu Dennis, was allegedly being linked to the origin of the audio recording.
“The president’s spokesman/clown Mr Bayo Onanuga seems to have arrested the person behind the AI-generated voice call of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Remember he accused me falsely, claiming I had involvement with the spread of the alleged voice call of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Anyways, it will interest you all to know that yet again it seems Mr Bayo Onanuga posted an innocent man. From what I saw on Daveplayblogger, it seems Mr Ifechukwu Dennis is the originator of the AI voice. Meanwhile, Mr Bayo Onanuga has tagged Mr Dennis the originator.
“Mr Bayo Onanuga seems to have failed again to investigate properly before coming online to spread false information and has therefore defamed Mr Dennis.
“I understand Mr Bayo Onanuga is desperate to repair his already disgraced image, so he just wants anybody to take the fall.
“Also Mr Bayo, can you ask the IGP crack team that arrested Mr Dennis to please go on TikTok and see what bandits are doing on that app?”
