Nigerian designer and stylist Veekee James is celebrating her 31st birthday today, June 9th.
Taking to her Instagram page to share photos of herself and her daughter, she noted how this is her first birthday as a mother.
Veekee described motherhood as the greatest gift she received this past year. She said this year’s birthday feels different because she is now a mother, a role she described as the title she is not proud of.
The influencer said birthdays used to be all about her, but now, they serve as a reminder of the child who changed her life forever. She expressed gratitude to her Maker for the lessons, sacrifices, laughter and experiences that have come with motherhood, describing it as a blessing she will cherish forever.

Kemi Filani reported in May that Veekee and her husband announced that they had welcomed a baby girl, Eliana Adeife Atere.
On her Instagram page and YouTube page, she shared a video of her newborn’s birth story. The video captured her 48 hours of labour and delivery. The designer said that God took away her fear, came through for her, and gave them their princess.
Not done, Veekee shared a video of how she was welcomed home after giving birth. The video captured the moment the new mum entered the house and was caught off guard by their grand preparation. According to her, her husband and her sister-in-law had organised the welcome home for her.
