Tinubu returns to Abuja after holiday in Lagos

President Bola Tinubu has flown back to Abuja after an extended stay in Lagos.

During his stay in Lagos, the president in the APC nationwide primaries and observed the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

The Airbus A330 conveying Tinubu arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at exactly 5:17 p.m., a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, revealed Tuesday evening.

Onanuga said, “Tinubu was received by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu; Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu; and other senior government officials.”

He noted that the holiday period was marked by a full schedule of political consultations, national events and diplomatic engagements.

During the traditional Sallah homage, the President received Vice President Kashim Shettima, the leadership of the Senate led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum under the leadership of its Chairman, Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

APC stakeholders from Oyo State, including the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, also paid a homage visit, as did APC candidates for the House of Representatives and State House of Assembly from Lagos State.
