The Trump administration has refrained from placing Chinese AI company DeepSeek, memory chipmaker CXMT, and more than 100 other firms identified as potential national security concerns on a US trade blacklist, Reuters reported.
The companies had reportedly been cleared last year by an interagency committee for inclusion on the US Commerce Department’s Entity List, which restricts access to American technology and exports.
However, the move has not yet been implemented, and the list has not been updated for nearly eight months since October, marking the longest gap in over a decade.
