US-Iran War Live Updates: Trump says he may read Iran deal on camera within days; 4 killed in Lebanon

Optimism around the peace deal continues to fuel crude and global markets even as the world await the fine texts of the deal to gain better clarity on the agreement set to be signed this Friday, June 19. Follow for the latest on the war in West Asia.

US-Iran War Live Updates: US President Donald Trump said he could publicly release the text of the US-Iran agreement within days and even read it out in front of cameras as the US Congress and the world at large await the full text, while Tehran and Washington appear to differ in their reading of the deal.

Meanwhile, more details are emerging about the framework aimed at ending the West Asia war.

A signing ceremony will be at Switzerland’s Burgenstock resort, making way for immediate sanctions waivers for Iranian oil exports, and a two-month negotiation process focused on Tehran’s nuclear programme. The proposal also includes provisions that could allow Iran to access some frozen overseas assets and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a critical route for global energy supplies.

A key point of discussion has been a proposed $300 billion financing mechanism linked to the deal. Reuters reported that the plan is structured as a privately funded investment vehicle — not a reconstruction or compensation package — aimed at encouraging long-term investment in sectors such as energy, transport, logistics and manufacturing. Reportedly, more than half of the proposed funding has already been committed by companies from the US, Gulf countries and other regions, although the arrangement has not yet been officially announced.

Optimism around the deal continues to fuel crude and global markets. Oil prices extended their sharp decline as investors weighed the prospect of easing tensions in West Asia. Brent crude fell below $80 a barrel after losing about 15% over four sessions, marking its longest losing streak this year. US benchmark West Texas Intermediate traded near $77 a barrel.
