Utumishi Girls survivor accuses teacher of neglect

However, the emotional tribute took a dramatic turn when the student criticised one of the teachers who had attended the funeral, accusing her of being hypocritical.

The young girl claimed that the teacher had repeatedly insisted that the school matron was not present during the incident, yet the students allegedly saw her at the scene.

“Right now, she is pretending to be caring, but that day she never even came close. We saw the girls burning, but she was nowhere to be seen. We must get justice for these 16 girls. I will not lie; this teacher knows herself very well. You are pretending to be nice here, but we will never forgive you,” she stated.

The student said there was no need to pretend that everything was fine and vowed not to forgive those she believed had failed them until justice was served.
