VIDEO: Outrage in Rukpokwu as Two Women Are Stripped Naked Over Alleged Kidnap Attempt on Six-Month-Old Baby

PORT HARCOURT, Rivers State — Residents of Rukpokwu Community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State have apprehended two women accused of attempting to kidnap a six-month-old baby.

The incident, which reportedly occurred on Tuesday, caused panic among residents and drew widespread attention within the community.

According to the trending Video and eyewitness accounts, the child’s mother had briefly left her residence to purchase food, leaving the infant in the care of her children. During her absence, two unidentified women allegedly entered the compound and took the six-month-old baby without authorization.

Sources said the mother’s eldest child noticed the presence of the strangers and later informed her about their visit. Upon returning home and discovering that her baby was missing, the mother immediately raised an alarm, prompting residents to launch a search operation.

Community members reportedly received information that two women had been seen carrying a baby and attempting to leave the area on a motorcycle. The suspects were subsequently intercepted by vigilant residents before they could allegedly escape.

The infant was rescued unharmed and reunited with the mother, while the two women were detained by residents pending further investigation.

Videos and photographs circulating on social media showed a crowd gathered around the suspects as community members demanded answers regarding the alleged abduction attempt.

As of the time of filing this report, the Rivers State Police Command had not issued an official statement on the incident.
