Williams Uchemba wins hearts as he clears the outstanding school fees of late Mr Ibu’s son (Video)

Nollywood actor Williams Uchemba is receiving praise from netizens over his grand gesture to the late Mr Ibu’s son, Somtochukwu.

Kemi Filani reported that Stella and her kids, while speaking to influencer King Mitchy, lamented their plight, revealing that they now fetch water from a well because she hasn’t been able to pay their house rent. She said their light had been cut off for two months, and they have to rely on others to charge their phones.

Speaking out, Mr Ibu’s son disclosed that their late father left many properties to all his children, but Stella chose to take everything for herself and her own children. He claimed that she sold one of Mr Ibu’s houses in Lagos for N60 million, another property in Lagos for over N17 million, and also sold the one in Asaba for N11 million. He further claimed that she squandered over N66 million that the public had contributed during Ibu’s illness.

Following the viral video, Williams took to a blog to ask how he could contact him.

“Please, what is his handle or contact?”.

In an update, the actor has cleared Somto’s outstanding school fees, enabling him to collect his WAEC result.

An online video captured the moment Somto, accompanied by a woman, went to his Secondary school to collect his WAEC result and pay the fees.

In the clip, Somto expressed gratitude to the philanthropist while happily showing off his results.

Refreshing your memory, Mr Ibu was married five times. Four of his marriages ended in separation and divorce.

His fifth wife, Stella Marris Okafor, was his final and most well-known wife before his demise.

Recall that in March, 2024, the veteran actor, who had battled for his life for months, had kicked the bucket. The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, revealed he died of Cardiac Arrest.

On Wednesday, June 26th, 2024, a night of tribute was held for the late actor, which had in attendance many of his colleagues. On June 27th, the veteran actor was buried in his hometown of Enugu State.

Making her first statement, Stella Maris revealed that she felt so bad and shed tears on Father’s Day when she remembered her late husband. Speaking on the Nollywood industry, she stated that they had supported her and her children since the actor passed and have been good to them.

In October, that year, Stella had marked his first posthumous birthday. Reminiscing on their beautiful moments, she noted how this was his first birthday without his breath and recalled how the late actor cherished and loved celebrating his birthday.

On his first remembrance, Stella Marris shared photos of her and their kids wearing matching outfits with the actor’s name on them. She stated that they miss him so much and pray that he continues to rest in peace.
