Oyo School Kidnap: VeryDarkMan Challenges Fayose’s ‘Blackmail’ Allegation

Social media activist, VeryDarkMan, has criticised former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, over his claim that the Oyo school abduction may have been politically orchestrated to blackmail President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Fayose had alleged during a television interview that the abduction of pupils and teachers in Oyo State raised political suspicion, suggesting that the incident may have been staged to embarrass the President.

Reacting, VeryDarkMan accused Fayose of downplaying Nigeria’s worsening insecurity and trying to defend the Federal Government at the expense of victims and their families.

He questioned why similar abduction cases in APC-governed states were not described as politically orchestrated.

VeryDarkMan referenced the November 2025 abduction of over 300 students and staff from St. Mary’s School in Niger State, governed by Mohammed Umar Bago of the APC.

He also cited the abduction of 25 schoolgirls in Kebbi State and the attack on a Christ Apostolic Church in Kwara State, where worshippers were kidnapped during the same period.

According to him, treating the Oyo abduction as political blackmail while ignoring similar incidents in other states weakens the seriousness of Nigeria’s security crisis.

He said the focus should be on rescuing victims, protecting schools and holding authorities accountable, rather than using the suffering of kidnapped children and teachers for political arguments.
