Speaking to NGBREAKINGNEWS, Priscilla said her business crumbled a year after investing KSh 50,000.
She admitted to feeling helpless as she had also poured her blood, sweat and tears into the salon business, in an attempt to salvage it.
“I have been feeling depressed since I shut down the business. I was left with nothing, and I am currently taking care of my sick mum. There are days that I go without even eating,” she told this writer with a hint of pain.

Priscilla had stocked her salon business with braids and other beauty products, but sadly, they all went unpurchased.

She said lack of clients was the major reason she was closing down the venture. In a TikTok video, she emptied the shelves and packed all her stock into boxes as tears flowed down her face.

At one point, the video captured her sitting to cry and wail, unable to bear the loss of her business.
“To add to my pain, the stock was stolen two days after I closed the shop. I am so stressed but I hope things will get better for me,” she said.

In other news, A 24-year-old man from Kasarani has shared the painful story of shutting down his hotel business just one year after investing more than KSh 1 million.
Kevin said he poured his savings into the venture, hoping it would secure his future, but the business struggled from the start due to a lack of customers and a difficult operating environment.
Despite remaining hopeful that sales would improve, the situation only worsened, forcing him to close down. In an emotional video, he was seen moving his belongings from the premises.
