“You nah good customer nah” — Lady shares encounter with Hausa commercial motorcyclist

A lady has stirred reactions on social media after recounting an unexpected encounter with a commercial motorcyclist who declined to collect transport fare from her after a recent trip.

According to her account, she had been using the rider’s services for some time and often paid slightly above the agreed fare.

She explained that although a trip typically cost ₦500, she occasionally paid ₦600 or even ₦700.

The woman said she never attached special meaning to the extra payments and simply considered them a gesture of appreciation.

Rainy-day encounter sparks curiosity

The incident occurred shortly after a rainfall. The lady explained that the motorcyclist spotted her from a distance and immediately began cleaning the motorcycle seat before she boarded.

She noted that the gesture stood out to her, especially because it appeared to be done without being requested.

After arriving at her destination, she attempted to pay for the trip as usual.

At that point, the rider declined to accept the money as he said “you nah good customer nah.”

Social media users react

The woman said the rider smiled before leaving the area, a development that left her wondering whether the gesture was simply appreciation for her patronage or something more.

She later shared the experience online, joking about the possibility of being drawn into an unexpected relationship.

The story quickly attracted attention from social media users, many of whom offered humorous interpretations of the encounter.

Others argued that the rider may have simply been expressing gratitude to a customer who consistently paid above the standard fare.
