The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has advised the Forum of State Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the need for massive mobilisation and reconciliation of members as the 2027 general elections draw closer, reports thegazellenews.com
The Lagos State Governor spoke on Sunday, 6 July, 2026 when the Forum members visited him at the State House, Marina.
Thegazellenews.com recalled that the APC State Chairmen Forum were in Lagos for their conference.
They were led to the Governor on the visit by the host Chairman and Chairman of the Forum, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.
Sanwo-Olu told the members that ensuring victory for the party and its candidates particularly President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains very sacrosanct.
In achieving this aim, Governor Sanwo-Olu told the APC State Chairmen that members must be mobilised massively and where there is need, reconciliation efforts should be intensified.
“The task is enormous but we will surmount it. I urge you to ensure massive mobilisation of party members, and where needed reconciliation efforts should be improved.
“I advise that we should push our mobilisation efforts far and wide. Ensuring victory for our party and its candidates particularly President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is very sacrosanct and it is a task we must collectively deliver.
“As leaders of our party in all the states of the Federation, the task before you is enormous but I know you all deliver,” Sanwo-Olu said
Earlier, Pastor Ojelabi had told the Governor that the party Chairmen were in Lagos for a three-day strategic conference and meeting geared towards preparation and mobilisation for the coming elections.
Ojelabi told journalists that the meeting will be taken round all the states and the Federal Capital Territory (APC).
“At such meetings, our state Chairmen will interact with the leaders of the party in the states, inspect federal and state projects which will serve as tools for campaign in the election,” he said.
