A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Chief (Dr) Isiaka Owoade, is dead, reports thegazellenews.com
Owoade, Babalaje of Ikireland, died late Tuesday, 21 July, 2026.
Reacting to the death of the APC leader, the APC governorship candidate for the state, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), described the late community leader as a dependable party stalwart, accomplished professional and patriotic son of Ikireland whose contributions to society will be remembered for years.
AMBO said the deceased’s death came as a profound shock and a painful loss to his family, the people of Ikireland, the Osun State chapter of the APC and all those who had the privilege of working closely with him.
In a condolence message, Oyebamiji paid glowing tribute to the late Babalaje, saying Owoade distinguished himself through remarkable character, integrity and unwavering commitment to the development of his community and the wider society.
According to him, the deceased was a proud son of Ikireland who dedicated his life to the progress of his family, his hometown and humanity, while also earning respect as a thorough professional whose service and commitment left lasting impressions on many lives.
He further described Owoade as a committed member of the APC, noting that the late politician remained a dependable party man, a passionate mobiliser and one of the strong supporters of the AMBO Project.
The APC flag bearer added that Owoade’s invaluable contributions to the growth of the party, coupled with his steadfast commitment to the collective aspiration for a prosperous Osun State, would remain indelible in the history of the party.
He stressed that the deceased’s sudden departure had created a huge vacuum, not only within his immediate family but also across Ikireland and the APC family in Osun State, where his dedication, loyalty and selfless service earned him widespread admiration.
While extending his heartfelt condolences, he said his thoughts and prayers were with the bereaved family, the people of Ikireland and members of the APC across the state during the difficult period.
He prayed that God would grant them the strength and fortitude to bear what he described as an irreparable loss.
