Apple and Broadcom have extended their custom chip partnership through 2031, a move tied to Apple’s growing AI push and future cloud infrastructure. Broadcom will continue supplying Apple with custom chips, while also developing a new AI-focused chip designed to improve communications for AI processing. Apple is planning to deploy new AI servers as early as 2027 as it expands the cloud side of Apple Intelligence.
