Big Brother Naija former housemate Uriel Oputa has reacted to rumours of American rapper Cardi B dating Nigerian goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye.
Kemi Filani reported that the two had sparked relationship rumours after they were spotted enjoying a luxury waterfront dinner in Venice, Italy. The duo were seated side by side at an upscale restaurant overlooking one of Venice’s iconic canals, enjoying an intimate evening together.

That wasn’t the first time they were spotted together, as earlier in the month, they had both attended the Jean Paul Gautier Fall/Winter 2026 Haute Couture show, where Maduka was filmed helping her to her seat.
They were later spotted at the balcony of a hotel after the show.

Weighing in, Uriel asked if women don’t spend time healing after relationships. She noted how Cardi hasn’t taken 6 months or a year leave and stays moving on to another chapter.
Uriel questioned what the better approach is- healing or being open to new love when it shows up. She pondered if healing now means living our life and moving forward.
“Cardi B has me asking a serious question: Are women spending too much time ‘Healing’ after relationships?
My girl doesn’t disappear for 6 months.
A year, or two years.
She closes one chapter and keeps it moving.
So what’s the better approach in 2026?
Taking years to heal, or being open for new love when it shows up?
Maybe healing isn’t always hiding from relationships. Maybe sometimes healing is living your life and moving forward”.

Cardi B was married to rapper Offset, with whom she has three kids. The American rapper filed for divorce from him in 2024.
Not wasting time, she moved on to NFL player Stefflon Diggs, with whom she welcomed a baby boy in 2025.
When Offset had accused then-pregnant Cardi B of cheating, which she didn’t deny, Davido’s baby mama, Larissa London, expressed how disgusted she was. She also said that she was mad at the fact that Cardi B didn’t think to respect her unborn baby before sleeping with another person.
In an interview, Uriel had cried out about Nigeria’s lack of decent men, saying it is hard to date them as they’re complicated. She recounted how her marriage desperation almost destroyed her, and touched on age shaming, noting how many women in their 30s and 40s feel like they’re expired milk.
In a previous post, the celebrity chef gave relationship advice to women, noting how she had learnt the hard way when it came to men. She noted how women put in efforts to prove they’re good girlfriends, and yet end up being ditched.
Two years ago, Uriel sent a message to her admirers, admonishing them to take a good look before reaching out to her. She stated that because she doesn’t post luxury items or flaunt extravagant trips, doesn’t mean she isn’t a buyer or an understanding babe.
In a podcast, Uriel revealed that her celebrity crush was Burnaboy, and she already had things planned in mind that he would do to her.
