The Chairman of the Belarusian Security Council, Alexander Wolfovich, has strongly advised residents of Belarus not to visit Russia, citing serious safety concerns.
In a public statement, Wolfovich warned that no guarantees can be made for the safety of Belarusian citizens undertaking such trips.
“No one can guarantee your safety on such trips. You have to think for yourselves and make the right decision,” he said.
The advisory comes amid heightened regional tensions, though specific reasons for the warning were not detailed in Wolfovich’s remarks.
