Dear Kaffy: Diary of A Single Woman, produced by Bolanle Austen-Peters Productions (BAP Productions), will make its London debut at the prestigious Shaw Theatre from Thursday 7 – Saturday 9 August 2026.

Following successful runs in Lagos and South Africa, the acclaimed production arrives in the United Kingdom for a limited three-day engagement, bringing an authentic, witty, and emotionally compelling Nigerian story to international audiences.

For the production scheduled to be staged at the Shaw Theatre, 100–110 Euston Road, London NW1 2AJ, show times have been fixed for 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM daily. Tickets: Standard £45 | Premium £70 | VIP £100. Organizers advise early booking as tickets are expected to sell fast.

Dear Kaffy: Diary of A Single Woman is a story that speaks across continents. At the heart of the play is Kikelomo Olota, known as Kike, a successful 35-year-old woman navigating love, family expectations, self-discovery, and societal pressure in contemporary Lagos.

As Kike moves through a series of relationships, she finds herself caught between what others expect of her and the life she truly wants.

Through humour, heartbreak, music, and reflection, Dear Kaffy explores universal themes of identity, womanhood, love, and authenticity.

While deeply rooted in Nigerian culture, the story resonates widely, particularly among the African diaspora, offering a reflection on the challenges many women face balancing personal ambition, cultural expectations, and the pursuit of happiness.

Presented by BAP Productions, the creative company founded by acclaimed producer and director Bolanle Austen-Peters, Dear Kaffy continues the mission of taking world-class African storytelling to global audiences.

Over the past decade, BAP Productions has helped transform Nigeria’s theatrical landscape with groundbreaking productions including Saro the Musical, Wakaa! The Musical, Fela and the Kalakuta Queens, Motherland The Musical, Death and the King’s Horseman, and other critically acclaimed stage and screen works.

The London presentation of Dear Kaffy marks another milestone in the company’s growing international footprint and its commitment to showcasing contemporary African narratives on some of the world’s most respected stages.

Speaking on the London debut, Bolanle Austen-Peters said: “We are delighted to bring Dear Kaffy to London. This is a story about self-worth, resilience, and finding the courage to define your own path. While Kike’s story is rooted in Lagos, her experiences are universal. We look forward to sharing this production with audiences in the UK and celebrating the richness of African storytelling on a global stage.”
