Delta Police Arrest ASP, Female Suspect Over Alleged Circulation Of Wife’s Nude Videos

The Delta State Police Command has arrested an Assistant Superintendent of Police, Mieyebo Victor Foupade, over allegations that he circulated the nude videos of his wife online and threatened her life.

Also arrested is a woman identified as Mrs. Tope Omolola Comfort, who was allegedly involved in sharing the intimate videos and harassing the officer’s wife.

Police sources confirmed on Monday that both suspects are in custody at the Ughelli Area Command as investigations continue.

According to a senior police source, the female suspect was arrested on Saturday before the police officer was subsequently taken into custody.

“The female suspect, Mrs. Tope Omolola Comfort, was arrested and detained on Saturday, while ASP Victor Foupade was later arrested by the Area Command in Ughelli. Both are currently in detention as investigations continue,” the source said.

The arrests followed allegations made by the officer’s wife, Kehinde, who accused her husband of subjecting her to months of domestic abuse, issuing repeated threats to her life and circulating her nude videos on social media without her consent.

The case drew public attention after the woman petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, seeking intervention and protection.

She also alleged that despite reporting the matter to the Ughelli Area Command, no decisive action was initially taken to halt the alleged circulation of the videos or address the threats against her.

According to police sources, investigators swung into action after the allegations gained widespread public attention.

The sources further alleged that some individuals had mounted pressure on the complainant to withdraw the case and seek an out-of-court settlement.

“They have been urging her to settle the matter privately and also asking her to prevail on media organisations to remove earlier reports on the allegations,” one of the sources disclosed.

The police officer, said to be from Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State, allegedly enlisted the assistance of the female suspect to continue circulating the videos and harassing his wife.

The complainant further alleged that voice recordings in the possession of investigators captured discussions between the two suspects on plans to continue humiliating her.

Recounting her ordeal, Kehinde said the marital crisis began in April this year after what she described as a sudden change in her husband’s behaviour.

She alleged that he later accused her of maintaining inappropriate conversations with another man after allegedly using her mobile phone without her knowledge.

She also claimed that her husband contacted her family, demanding money for her to leave their matrimonial home while allegedly making accusations of infidelity against her.

As of the time of filing this report, the Delta State Police Command had yet to issue an official statement on the arrests or the status of the investigation.

The allegations remain under investigation, and no court has convicted either of the suspects.
