Dozens were killed in a fire in Bangkok, Thailand, during the overnight between Sunday and Monday, after getting trapped in the venue’s bathroom as people were attempting to escape the fire, according to Thai outlet MGR Online.
In total, at least 27 people were killed, according to local reports, with dozens more being wounded by the blaze that engulfed the bar “Rong Beer Na Lat Phrao.”
The site is one of the most popular venues in Bangkok’s Chatuchak district, with firefighters needing 35 minutes to bring the flames under control, according to local authorities.
The Jerusalem Post reached out to the Foreign Ministry to investigate if any Israelis were present.
