Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has finally announced her separation from her husband, Bobby Maris.
On her Instagram story, she said she was tired of the Princess who married her, noting that she had given him 8 years of her life. She questioned whether it would be when she is 6 feet under before the crown of thorns would fit her well.
Ogbodo questioned why it is a taboo for a woman to say she is tired in her marriage. She questioned what her offence is in wanting to be happy.
“For person to tire for marriage now nah taboo because nah woman? Must it always be man must taya? My tayad is tayad! I am tayad of the Princess wey dey marry me. What is wrong with that? To be happy as a woman in marriage nah by connection in this country!
I no do again nah sin?
Make nobody push me to the wall because I be rubber oo!
8 years of my life isn’t enough yet? Maybe I should give it 20 years or maybe 6 feet under before the crown of thorns can fit me well”.
In a message to bloggers, she told them to collect receipts and post fake news. Ogbodo made it known that she has the correct receipts and isn’t like her predecessors.
“All these bloggers, be collecting receipts ooo!
No dey post fake news.
Ask for receipts.
Cos I come correct with receipts.
I’m not like my predecessors o!”.
Kemi Filani reported a day ago that Uche and her younger husband, Bobby Maris had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Bobby, threw shots at her, saying not all women’s heads are fit to wear the crown of wife.
Following their marital crisis, a leaked audio had surfaced of Uche questioning her husband’s claim that he had gone out to work without receiving any payment. Ogbodo, who wasn’t deceived, noted how she is an entertainer and understands how jobs are handled. She dismissed his explanation, saying she didn’t want to hear any excuses and questioned the authenticity of his account.
Amid the audio, Ogbodo, via her Instagram story, had shared tips on how to survive a narcissist.
Speaking out, Uche’s sister called Bobby a lazy man who sleeps from Monday to Sunday, contributes absolutely nothing to the growth of his family, and is constantly provoking her. She added that the only crime Uche committed was separating herself from him and admonished him to find his next client.
This is coming months after she had praised Bobby, calling him her heavyweight husband. Ogbodo further declared that she can kill for her man.
Recall that in January 2023, the lovebirds were traditionally wedded in her hometown in Imo State. Gushing over their union, Uche announced that she was now officially known as Mrs. Bobby Florentus Ugwoegbu.
Before their wedding, Ogbodo had sung Bobby’s praises. The then mother of two gushed over how blessed she was to have him. Professing her love for him, Uche revealed that Bobby makes her heart sing.
The couple share two children – a boy and a girl.
