Where did George Wanjohi Kimani live?
It has also emerged that the 55-year-old was the treasurer of a church located along Kenyatta Road in Thika, leaving many shocked by the apparent contradiction between his public image and the allegations against him.
Additionally, images of his mansion, surrounded by a perimeter wall, surfaced online, drawing mixed reactions from Kenyans.
According to reports, the alleged carjacker lived in Highview Estate, one of the gated residential estates along Kenyatta Road.
The home, which is enclosed by a perimeter wall, is also fitted with electric fencing for added security.
Outside the compound are several trees, banana plants and pawpaw trees, giving the property a lush, green appearance. The house also appears to have an upper floor and sits adjacent to a maize farm.

“This is George Kimani Wanjohi’s (the guy who was gunned down on Kenyatta Road) mansion. He lived in opulence and even had an electric fence around the home. The irony of the master thief being afraid of fellow thieves,” claimed Cyprian Nyakundi, who shared images of the home.
Furthermore, one of the late suspect’s neighbours said residents had always believed Wanjohi was a land broker and never imagined he would be linked to vehicle theft.
“This is my neighbour. Funny enough, he was a very committed Christian. He was even an official in the local church. We all thought he was a land broker,” said the neighbour.

“There is more than meets the eye in this case. Most probably a deal gone sour.”
Kũngũ Maitũ Nahunyũwake:
“I have a feeling this man was not a thief. Usually, when robbers are shot, we are never shown their faces. Why this one was put on display is hard to tell.”
