Celebrity fashion designer Veekee James has revealed that she is selective about the clients she works with, saying a person’s energy plays a major role in whether she accepts to style them.
Speaking on her approach to business, the renowned designer explained that she carefully chooses the people she dresses and is unwilling to compromise her peace of mind for any client.
According to Veekee James, if she feels uncomfortable with someone’s personality or energy, she would rather decline the opportunity than force a working relationship.
“I choose my clients. If I can’t tolerate your energy, then I can’t dress you,” she said.
Her statement has sparked conversations on social media, with many users praising her for setting professional boundaries, while others debated whether service providers should be selective about the clients they take on.
The fashion entrepreneur’s remarks highlight the growing importance many creatives place on maintaining healthy work relationships and protecting their mental well-being, even when it means turning down lucrative opportunities.
