A Nigerian man has stirred conversations online after sharing an emotional video where he made a public commitment to remain faithful to his wife following his planned move to Canada.
In the viral clip, the man made a heartfelt vow, stating that he should face death if he ever betrays his wife by being unfaithful after joining her abroad.
Addressing his wife warmly as “my lovely wife” and “my mother,” he appreciated her for the sacrifices she had made over the past three years while taking care of their children in his absence.
With deep emotion, he declared that if he ever cheated on her after arriving in Canada, he should die “in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.” He repeated the statement twice to emphasize how serious he was about his promise.
The man also asked his wife to let go of any previous disagreements between them, expressing his desire for them to rebuild their bond and enjoy a peaceful family life. He stressed that divorce was not part of his plans and that his wife’s happiness, as well as the wellbeing of their children, remained his major concerns.
Explaining the reason behind the public declaration, he revealed that his wife had requested the video as a way of confirming his loyalty and commitment before his relocation.
In the video, his wife also made a similar promise, stating that she too would face the same consequence if she became unfaithful to him.
