Refreshing your memory, news broke out in May that the light-skinned actor had passed away on Monday, May 11th, after a battle with Cancer and was 40 years old.

On Thursday, June 18th, the actor was finally laid to rest amidst tears. The likes of IK Ogbonna, Mike Godson, Omoni Oboli, Ini Edo, KCee and E-Money, Cubana Chief Priest, Bimbo Ademoye, Kunle Remi and his wife, Ayo Makun, Yomi Casual, Nancy Isime, Funny Bone, Pretty Mike, and a tone of others had attended the emotional event.

Alex and IK shared a close friendship and were known as brothers in the industry. It is undoubtedly that the death of Alex is a painful one for IK Ogbonna.

A year back, Alex called out IK Ogbonna over his supposed fake lifestyle that cost him his visa. Alex urged his friend to be himself, whether online or offline.

In response to Alex’s rants, IK warned him not to mess with him as his day had already started on the wrong note.

In a sweet post, Alex shared some of the chats between him and IK, which started with a football comment and evolved into their normal banter. Alex shared the chats online to inquire about IK’s primary school educational proof after the latter misspelt a word.

Ogbonna responded with a funny expression, saying that Ekubo had been his worst friend ever.

Not done, Ekubo shared an embarrassing picture of Ogbonna online, stating he had finally seen the original version of his friend, which had been hidden from the public.

When Alex’s ex-fiancée called off their engagement, IK had taken him on a vacation. The duo were seen enjoying a luxury ride in Port-Novo, Benin Republic. While IK was seen dancing to a song playing in the background, Ekubo seemed unaware of what was happening around him.

When IK bagged a doctorate, Ekubo penned a sweet congratulatory note to him, welcoming him to the group. He also wished him success in his achievement.

He had also had defended Alex against a troll who mocked him over his relationship breakup.
