Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said they targeted infrastructure belonging to US company Amazon AMZN.O in Bahrain, according to a statements published by state media on Tuesday.
There was no official confirmation from Bahrain and Reuters could not independently verify the incident. Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency said that the facility was part of the company’s central data infrastructure.
US president Donald Trump has vowed to make Iran pay “many times over” for the deaths of US soldiers as his troops launched the 10th consecutive night of attacks.
Trump issued the warning on Monday after he claimed the US had hit Iran “very hard” in retaliation for the deaths of three American soldiers in Jordan and Iraq.
This morning the Iranian army claimed to have targeted three major US military installations in Kuwait using attack drones. Iran on Monday had vowed to continue striking American targets “for years” if required as diplomacy slipped further out of view.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard also pushed back on Trump’s recent claims that Iran is running out of munitions, as the regime continues to pound US facilities in neighbouring countries.
“[Trump] should know that, by God’s grace, even if this war lasts for several years, until the very last day, our missiles and drones will rain down on American criminals,” the statement said.
