Nigerian comedian My Fada has called on the Federal Government to legalise civilian gun ownership after recounting a frightening robbery incident in Lagos that he said nearly claimed his life.
Sharing his experience, the comedian alleged that he and his boss, who had just returned from China, were attacked while trapped in traffic by armed men riding motorcycles.
According to him, the attackers were armed with machetes and guns, leaving the pair fearing for their lives.

Following the incident, My Fada argued that allowing law-abiding citizens to own firearms could help them defend themselves against violent criminals.
His comments have since sparked debate on social media, with Nigerians divided over whether legalising gun ownership would improve security or worsen violence.
