Osun Muslim community lauds Adeleke’s pro-people policies

The Osun State Muslim Community (OSMC) has commended the state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, for his pro-people policies.

The President, Alhaji Mustafa Olawuyi, gave the commendation at OSMC Secretariat in Osogbo on Sunday during Adeleke’s visit.

Olawuyi said the proactiveness of the governor through his Executive Order on Ikirun Obaship tussle prevented bloodshed in Ikirun.

He commended Adeleke for the infrastructural development during his administration, particularly road projects.

The OSMC president commended him for his decision to build a mosque inside the Osun State Government House in Osogbo.

Olawuyi applauded the Osun State Government for the smooth Hajj operations by the Osun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.

Adeleke told the Muslim Ummah that his records of achievements for the Islamic sector surpasses that of his predecessors.

The governor said his accomplishments for the ummah cannot be rivalled by his predecessors, flaunting his records as ground breaking.

Adeleke said: “I am happy to report that my administration is almost completing the hajj camp.

“Just recently, Osun became the first state in the South West to formalise issuance of Islamic marriage certificates.

“It is now operational and I have also directed that the processes for the issuance should henceforth be domiciled with the Muslim community as the umbrella body for muslims in Osun State.

“You all know my principal officers and many members of my cabinet are muslims.

“I ensure muslims get their fair share in almost all areas.

“I listed all the above to show what I did that they refused to do when they were in office.”

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Affairs, Alhaji Muniru Raji, said Adeleke’s performance was impressive.

Raji said: “We thank Governor Adeleke for implementing several policies and projects to meet the needs and aspirations of muslims in Osun State.

“We know he will do more when he is re-elected on August 15.”
