Popular Nollywood actor, Femi Branch, has issued a passionate appeal to Nigerian politicians, urging them to refrain from involving innocent children in what he described as “dirty political games.”
The actor, known for his outspoken views on social issues, expressed deep concern over the increasing trend of exploiting minors for political propaganda, protests, and other partisan activities. He stressed that children should be protected from the harsh realities and manipulations of political conflicts.
Branch noted that exposing young minds to divisive political agendas not only endangers their well-being but also threatens their moral and psychological development. According to him, children deserve a safe and nurturing environment, free from the toxicity often associated with political struggles.
He called on leaders across party lines to exercise responsibility and uphold ethical standards by keeping minors out of political battles. “Children are the future of this nation. They must not be used as tools in power struggles,” he said.
The actor’s statement has since sparked conversations online, with many Nigerians echoing his concerns and calling for stricter measures to prevent the exploitation of children in political activities.
Femi Branch’s plea adds to the growing voices advocating for the protection of children’s rights and the need for more ethical conduct in Nigeria’s political landscape.
