Rite Foods Bags National Sustainability Awards, Reinforces Industry Leadership

Rite Foods Limited has further cemented its position as a dominant force in Nigeria’s food and beverage sector, clinching top honours at the 2026 National Sustainability Achievement Awards for its commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing and innovation-driven growth.

The company emerged as a standout performer after being selected by the Awards Technical Committee in two key categories Best Food Processing Carbonated Drink Formulation and Clean Energy Company of the Year 2026 — underscoring its growing influence in sustainable industrial practices.

Organised by ESG Impact Consulting Limited, the National Sustainability Achievement Awards recognise organisations that successfully align business growth with environmental responsibility and social impact. Awardees are rigorously assessed based on measurable impact, environmental stewardship, and contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

For Rite Foods, the recognition is seen as validation of years of deliberate investment in cutting-edge manufacturing technology, energy-efficient operations, and environmentally conscious production processes. The company has consistently embedded sustainability across its value chain from sourcing and production to innovation and stakeholder engagement.

As one of Nigeria’s leading indigenous manufacturers, Rite Foods has continued to redefine industry benchmarks through premium product offerings, consumer driven innovation, and world-class production facilities, all underpinned by a corporate culture that prioritises excellence, integrity, and long-term sustainability.

Reacting to the development, the Managing Director, Seleem Adegunwa, described the award as a significant endorsement of the company’s vision and operational philosophy.

“This recognition strengthens our resolve to continue setting new standards in responsible manufacturing and innovation. Sustainability is not just a policy for us it is the foundation upon which we build our operations and future,” Adegunwa stated.

He reiterated the company’s commitment to expanding investments in clean energy, resource efficiency, and environmentally sustainable initiatives, while also driving community focused programmes that deliver long-term value.

Industry observers note that the latest accolade further enhances Rite Foods’ reputation as a forward-thinking brand shaping the future of sustainable manufacturing in Nigeria’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.

The recognition adds to a growing list of accolades for the company, including its recent win as Best Foods and Beverage Brand at the Global Brands Awards hosted by UK-based Global Brands Magazine.

It also follows Adegunwa’s emergence as Industrialist of the Year 2025, an honour conferred by Vanguard Media Limited in recognition of his leadership, entrepreneurial drive, and contributions to Nigeria’s industrial growth.

With its continued focus on innovation, sustainability, and quality, Rite Foods is increasingly positioning itself not just as a market leader, but as a key driver of responsible industrial transformation in Africa’s largest economy.
