Former Benfica boss, Jorge Jesus, is set to be appointed as the new head coach of the Portugal national football team, following the departure of Roberto Martinez.

Jesus arrives after a spell with Al Nassr FC, where he guided the club to the Saudi Pro League title alongside Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development in a post on X.
“Jorge Jesus to become new Portugal head coach, here we go! He’s accepted to take over after Roberto Martínez.
“Jorge Jesus will lead the project for Nations League, Euro 2028 and next World Cup.”
