Nollywood actor and producer Ibrahim Yekini, better known as Itele, has responded to a comment from film critic Tolu Fagbure.
The film critic, in an interview, said Itele and Eniola Ajao have no business in the cinema.
Now, on his Instagram page, Itele shared throwback photos of himself and some of his colleagues, noting how the mission never changes.
He admonished his fans to work hard, stay humble, and let the results make the noise.
“From those days to these days. The mission never changed.
Work hard, stay humble, let your results make the noise”.
Also reacting to his statement, Eniola Ajao prayed that when others are succeeding and achieving great things in life, one should not waste his/hér time gossiping and neglecting one’s own purpose. She made it clear that she is too guided to be distracted and to let her results do the talking.
Fagbure spoke about Wumi Toriola, declaring her better and wiser than Funke Akindele, Mercy Aigbe, and Toyin Abraham.
Itele has nothing to worry about regarding his statement, as the actor is finally getting the long-deserved recognition he deserves.
Recently, he had finally received his YouTube Gold Creator Award after reaching 1 million subscribers on the platform. The talented actor said his win is a symbol of dedication, consistency, and the incredible community that stood by him every step of the way.
Earlier this year, he topped headlines after his popular movie, Koleoso, hit 100 million views on YouTube, becoming the first Nollywood title and the first African movie title to hit this milestone. Bragging, he made it known that he is the first to pull this stunt in the history of Nollywood.
Reflecting on his struggles, he noted how he went from being overlooked to being overwhelmed, and how he grew from that boy from the hood that people once ignored. He spoke about his success and told his fans not to give up.
The past year was a winning year for Itele as he celebrated his movie making the list of Nigeria’s 2025 most searched series. Itele noted how the record is loud and the growth is real. He expressed gratitude for the journey, organic growth, real audience, and impact.
