Saudi club tables €120m bid for Osimhen

Galatasaray have received a €120 million offer from a Saudi Arabian club for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen as interest in the Nigerian forward continues to intensify.

Turkish transfer insider Serhan Türk reported that the Turkish champions now have two separate €120 million offers on the table, one from a European club and another from Saudi Arabia.

The identity of the Saudi club has not been disclosed.

The latest development follows earlier reports linking Atlético Madrid with a bid of the same value, while another unnamed European club was also said to have made a verbal offer worth €125 million.

Despite the growing interest, Galatasaray are unwilling to sell the 27-year-old.

The Süper Lig champions reportedly consider Osimhen the most important player in their squad and the key figure in the club’s long-term project.

Osimhen strengthened his status after an impressive first full season with the Istanbul club.

The Nigeria international scored 22 goals and provided eight assists in 33 appearances in all competitions as Galatasaray retained the Turkish league title.

Club president Dursun Özbek is reportedly valuing Osimhen at €150 million and is not prepared to enter transfer negotiations.

Galatasaray are also said to be preparing a new contract that would keep the striker at the club until 2029 with an improved salary package.

The club are also planning to hand Osimhen the captain’s armband following the expected departure of Mauro Icardi and offer him the iconic No. 9 shirt as they build the next phase of the team around him.

Galatasaray are also targeting the signing of a top-class midfielder to strengthen the squad for the UEFA Champions League, with the club determined to keep Osimhen at the centre of its ambitions.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have reportedly ended their interest in the Nigerian striker.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Galatasaray’s valuation and Osimhen’s salary demands have placed a move to Old Trafford beyond the Premier League club’s financial reach.

United manager Michael Carrick is now expected to explore alternative attacking options after signing Atalanta midfielder Ederson, while Marcus Rashford could be reintegrated into the squad if he remains at the club. Joshua Zirkzee is also widely expected to leave following an underwhelming two-year spell.

Although Saudi Pro League clubs have previously offered personal terms worth more than $50 million per year, Osimhen has consistently been linked with a desire to remain in European football, with a future move to the Premier League still regarded as one of his long-term ambitions.
